Delano pickups?

New here so hello all.
I have been looking at several brands of pickup for my bass.
Woundering what thoughts fellow bass players have on using these

Somehow the URLs you posted got mangled. Can you please provide the specific model names of these pickups? :)

I think delanos are great.
Various ranges of pickups and no gimmicks.
All makes sense and is extremely well built.
And not too expensive.

Bassculture is fantastic also. Very flexible and again... no gimmicks and hollow advertising slogans.
Just great pickups at very fair prices.
Great to work with as well as communication is easy and friendly.

Häussel is ok too.

I have a set of their Soap Bars on my Sage Stealth 4 string and there are AWESOME! I highly recommend them. They are as good or better that Nordstrand or Barts or EMG. IMO Anyway you can't go wrong with them.

Sorry tried to edit them in but guess it didnt take

I am looking at the JMVC 4 FE/M2 set combined with the PMVC FE/M2.

I can't comment on the JMVC, but I have used the 5-string version of the PMVC, and it sounded very nice. Lots of detail in the midrange for a P pickup. It had a bit of the Stingray vibe to it, but the fundamentals and lower mids were very deep and authoritative.

You are going to love them! I have set in my Lakland 55-94 and
they sound great. I thought the Barts were a little dark and subdued. The Delanos opened the sound right up. Clean, clear, accurate.

Looking forward to your report.

Hmmmmm.... very interesting.

I've got a 55-02 with Barts - sometimes I love them, and sometimes I don't like them at all because you can't really get away from that dark "muffled" tone.

Never considered Delanos until now.

What type of sound to the Delano's and Haussel P/J s produce (vinatage or modern)?

I have the Delano twin coils in my jazz and I love them. Much more low end than the stock american pus. Modernish tone…full frequency range. Just pretty. I also have their MM (plus twinblade) in my fretless and also love them. Just a great pu. Personally, I wouldn't use another pu now that I've found "that sound!"

I have never really understood what people meant when they said a pickup sounds "modern" or "vintage".

What I have noticed however was that the delanos have always suited the basses I have seen them in.
Same goes for häussel.

My personal favorite is bassculture tho as he is flexible as to the pickup he makes for the customer.
Can go "modern" as well as "vintage". Depends on what the customer asks him to do.
A sound idea specified by the customer will most likely be met by the pickup made for that customer.
At least that was the case with mine.

I am not saying that delano or häussel are less flexible.
It is just that I have a lot more experience with bassculture.
:)
