Delano Xtender in a multiscale?

I'm in the process of designing a custom build multiscale 5 string. I had pretty much decided for my pup configuration I was going to go along the lines of Warwick Thumb layout with the backwards slant that seems to be a standard in any fan-fretted instrument.

It then occured to me that the Delano Xtender with it's unconventional design could possibly lend itself well to a bass of this nature.

So any one with experience or opinions I'd like to know what you think!
