Delayed iphone notifications

Hey guys and gals, I searched but couldn't find this specific info.

For many weeks, the TB mobile app was working great for me. The notifications were instant. Over the past few days I've been getting delayed notifications. Sometimes it will tell me I have a new message or notification 48 hours after the message was posted or sent.

Is this a common issue? I may just turn off the push notifications.

This happened to me too the other day too. I'll see if it's a known issue. Has it happened again today? I'm hoping it'll just fix itself... but I'll see if I can find something.

Yes it's been happening pretty consistently. I just got a notification for a PM that I received on Tuesday...

When you get a late notification, is it by itself or does it accompany a more recent notification?

Sometimes 2 or 3 old notifications will come through at the same time.

Strange enough, when you just quoted me the notification was instant. That's probably the first time in a week.

Ok, so this is an ongoing issue with Tapatalk's push notification server (Tapatalk makes the TalkBass App too). Their server is simply being overloaded. We'll keep complaining until it gets better https://support.tapatalk.com/threads/push-notification-delays.27404/

I and a few others TBers I know have this issue, as well as a similar issue where the notification repeats over and over again.

If you want, you can ditch the app and use your mobile browser. To get reliable push notifications, you can install PushBullet. Then, under your user menu, select "External Accounts" and associate your TB account with PushBullet.
