Delayed Notifications & Font change after site upgrade

Hey guys,

I've found I've been getting long delayed notifications for inbox messages or even thread posts.

In some cases, it's taking over 24 hours to get the notification from a message. I've been getting notifications for messages I've already read because I've started to login more frequently because of this issue.

Also, there was a recent upgrade this week, and I've found the font and line spacing seems to change after you hit submit. There's a real bug when replying to messages in Google Chrome too. You'd have to see it to believe it.

Hi! Are you talking about email notifications, or the alerts at the top-right of the screen?

Any chance you can send a screenshot of the bugs you see? Does it look like you're missing css styling? If so it may be an issue with our CDN. Let me make a change and see if it fixes for you.

Hi Paul,

Sorry, I should have been more clear. I'm talking about the e-mail notifications I'm receiving.

I can't comment weather it's my e-mail provider delaying these notifications, but I have found a noticeable change in the past few days.

Normally, there's a response in about 3 or 4 minutes via e-mail if there is a new message in my inbox or a new post has been added to a thread that I'm subscribed too. I'm currently subscribed with a Hotmail account.

For some strange reason, I can't seem to replicate the issue I was having over the 2 days with regards to the reply font and line spacing changing on me. It was really weird. When I'd hit reply, the font size would change to Times New Roman and the spacing was double spaced when in Internet Explorer. In Google Chrome, there was this weird carriage return thing going on as you typed the message. Eventually the message would appear, but the cursor would bounce backward as you were typing. Very weird.

From what I can see in our Mandrill mail logs, it looks like emails for your watched thread notifications are being sent out the minute that the post is made... Maybe a Hotmail issue? I'm not seeing anything on this end that would indicate a reason for delay...

That's an odd one for sure... We'll just attribute this one to the moon phase and the mice in your computer.... unless it happens again :)
