my friend is a ESP rep and got me a sunburst one for a great price last year and I have to say I am really impressed! I expected to change out the pickups but they sound great, it has become one of my favorite basses for recording.

Yeagh...I don't understand the lack of love for ESP here. I know they have their rep for being metal guitars, but I recently sold a F-105 bass (the pointy one) and it sounded and played great. The pointy thing wasn't for me, but its a surprisingly good instrument.

I'm not big on the whole relic thing, but those ESPs are pretty sweet looking. If it's a player, you really can't beat it for the price. P/J, maple board...what's not to like?
