Its strung with Evolution 140H (Honey) strings. The G string has slightly damaged winding where it went over the nut on my old bass, I don't have much to compare them to except the strings the bass came with, anyone know what they would be? As far as playing, it is a world apart from my old Antoni. The strings are nice and low with absolutely no buzz. Good solid tone perhaps a bit on the soft side? but that's probably just my playing.

Low string height with no buzz--sounds like the best of both worlds to me. Congratulations on your purchase!
Trumpet is my first instrument but just love standing close to the bass when improvising. I also figured there is no better way to learn harmony than from the bottom.
I should have mentioned, BTW, that I very much like the composition in your photographs. Looks like a comfortable home for a nice DB.
