demeter in a ken smith

Wondering if anyone has replaced the stock ken smith preamp with the Demeter onboard preamp and if so what are your thoughts? If you had it installed in a different bass, please share your results here.

I have and it sounds terrific yet maintains the ken smith tone. Money definitely well spent!

I am awaiting Demeter Pedal Preamp (same as on board...) hope that I ´ll be able to give my sound little bit from Demeter soul...I still regret that I swap mine VTBP201s pre for Eden so I want "Demeterize" my Eden sound.... If it is as great as their preamp there can be nothing wrong with it....I konw I am not un-influenced but I´ve never heard anything better than Demeter....only same league but demeter is top....

I agree that each cent spent for Demeter products worth it!!

just got today Demeter pedal PRE - i havent tried it on "big amp" just small 5W alltube beast with 1x10" cabinet but it gave me nice information how James Demeter knows what he do....this thing is like putting make-up on beatiful woman :D :D

you got perfect woman/sound naturaly its own but putting on slight "make up" makes them perfect!!!!Absolutely perfect...I wish I could have this pre in my Fender - and what is really shocking HOW SIMPLY IT IS!!!!! is simply like Simply Jack :D

I think Patitucci's live tone was primarily his Bag End cabinets and high-end hifi poweramps (Mark Levinson?). Not sure if he used DI on his records or mic-ed cabs.

Best regards,

Jarno.
