Dented Squier VM P

So i just got a Squier VM P for my bday (WOOHOO!)

Its a bday present so I wasn't at GC when I bought it. AFter inspecting it I do notice a rather large DENT in by the bottom strap button and a couple nicks.

THe bass is still within GC's 30 day return policy.

If I take it up there do you think they'll get me some cash back or some free strings for getting a blemished bass?

Usually a "return policy" means you either get cash back or you can exchange the faulty bass for a working one.

if you really care that much, you might be able to exchange it for another copy instock if they have it. honestly, I wouldn't care that much to go back over a small thing like that.

i would, if i paid full price for something new, you bet your ass, i mean bass, i'd get back in there to get a fresh one

Not necessarily. And even so, he might as well start from scratch

but what if the new one doesn't sound or play as good as the dinged up one? Are it might even play better than the old one. tuff one

IMO All P-Basses my look alike but they all don't play or feel the same...

I'd return it for another provided the other one played as good or better. If not, I'd learn to love the added character.

Well, my local GC (detroit) was out of them, so the manager called another store and found one in Minnesota and is having it shipped out here. He told me to keep the one I had right now, and when the new one comes in (still in the box!) he'll swap them out for me

Not exactly what I wanted, but that's alright because I'm waiting for all my mods to come in the mail anyway
