Double Bass Dependable websites to buy cases and bows from?

Hello all, I'm taking my first upright bass lesson this coming Thursday and I need a case and a bow. The person I bought my case from recommended Protec cases but I have tried ordering off their website and have received an error time and again. I also need a bow, so if I can knock the two out at the same time that'd be great. My teacher told me I will be learning french bowing. Thank you!

In addition to the good suggestions above:

+ Shar Music: Retail in Ann Arbor and Farmington MI, plus large on-line presence;
+ Johnson Strings: MA
+ Southwest Strings
+ Stringworks: Appleton WI area
+ a440 Violin Shop: Chicago (some web, mostly brick and mortar)
+ Upton Bass: CT

All of these are reputable, sell over the web, and carry decent inventory. For bow shopping, the best practice is to have the shop ship you some bows (usually 3) on trial (usually for 1 week). You are responsible for shipping costs and, of course, for returning the bows that you don't want to purchase.

Ken Smith is also a good source of reasonably priced bows. You'll have to contact him in person.
