My fuzz of choice would definitely be a big muff. it may be a standard choice for a fuzz pedal, but I do like how this pedal sound on bass. it can easily give me a smooth warm fuzz sound. I would know that the russian big muff and the bass big muff can deliver such a sound. my other choice would be an mxr bass fuzz deluxe. I heard how this pedal sounds and I think it sounded pretty cool. I wish this pedal has an ac adapter connector. but other than that, it a pretty cool sounding bass fuzz pedal.
Incredible pedal but it is certainly an overdrive.
For me it would be either the Chunk Systems Brown Dog or IE Oxide. The Oxide is much more versatile (IMO) but for the funky, synthy stuff I do I use the Brown Dog more.

I think I'll have to take a stab at refining this thread after a day or so, dumping the ones that get no love and adding some of those that get mentioned multiple times in the "other" category.

Interesting that the Woolly Mammoth is one of the ones with the most votes. Personally, I see this pedal as a kind of one-trick-pony. Now to be sure, it is a FANTASTIC trick...a true classic. But a "desert island" fuzz...really?
