Designing a Bass (one way to do it)

I always like it when a plan comes together. Is there a particular hitch in the design that caused you to pause?
Just a house, an antique car and a couple of old bass projects. Also a six string I need to finish first.

Besides, it's "kind of" a reverse Explorer, so reverse headstock too!

? Bring the tuners in from opposite sides and have the buttons facing back
? I'll leave this for a while and do some work on my six string

That's cool but I wonder about the thickness of the headstock to make that work? I'll give it some consideration though as I have a lot of time before I get back to this.I know this build is paused, but I can't help but chime in.....

He shows in his video where he added a piece to the back of the headstock, and he also talks about neck dive since everyone in the comments went "THE HEADSTOCK WEIGHS TOO MUCH, IT'LL DIVE!!!"

Reading another thread BCRich Eagle Rescue I started to think about a few things. First I noticed that the upper horn reaches the 14th fret only. Well this is where I ended up with my own design in 1985 and despite numerous recommendations against it balances very well. I kind of like the Eagle outline except for the lower horn. So I started thinking what it would look like with a more conventional lower horn. Time to start drawing. First a tracing of the Eagle body from a reasonable front view but with a little distortion form the angle. Not a problem as I am not looking for 100% but a fair representation.
Next change the lower horn close to what I believe looks okay.
Started full size rendition by drawing a centerline with nut, 12th fret, 24th fret, bridge, end of body, body width and end of upper horn. I will use my own headstock design and I already started one lower curve. Sorry for it being a little faint.

Here is a closeup of the body portion. I drew the lower part of the body. I drew this freehand but a french curve would be helpful in creating the curves. The camera angle makes it look not quite symetrical. I also went around the body and marked some other points like the waist, horn widths and horn end points.

Back to the Eagle inspired drawing. Filled out the horns but did not use the downward facing down for the lower.
Then decided that maybe I can use this premade 30" scale neck with a narrow five bridge to create a 30" five string.
