For sale or trade for a Metro Sadowsky PJ5.
Devon Generation 5, Modern. 5 string fretted, chambered, magnetic covers. 2018 build. Like new.
I custom ordered this brand new, incredible bass from luthier Devon Smullen and received it three weeks ago. Though it is technically used, it is mint, and in perfect condition. It is his newest model with a redesigned horn allowing greater fretboard access in the upper register, smaller body and magnetically held, rear access covers. Rounded fingerboard and hidden jack input.
I’m selling because I am funding another Devon build.
Regardless of my taste and preference, the bass is incredible! Extremely versatile from jazz gigs to pop. Extremely light weight because it’s chambered.
—body- chambered ash - weighs 9 pounds
—neck- 24 fret maple with super comfortable, rounded fingerboard
    —Black, Hipshot hardware
—Nordstrand P pickup in neck position
    —Nordstrand Bigman pickup in bridge
    —Nordstrand 3- band preamp
    —active/passive - pull pot
—Vol, pickup pan, active/passive tone, treble, mid (pull), bass pots
—19mm string spacing but feels closer to 18.5mm
    — nut width 1.77” or 45mm
—magnetically held, wooden covers for 18v battery cavity and preamp area. Can quickly remove with finger.
    —fretboard dots under B string
This bass is essentially what you’d get in a Sadowsky plus WAY more at half the price and no wait time.
I have a 100% perfect feedback rating and only sell quality instruments from my personal collection.
Email me mishbass@bellsouth for any immediate contact. Paypal prefered. You pay THEN I ship. No exceptions.
$2,500 SHIPPED to you in continental US. Foreign shipping added to $2,500.
This is an incredible deal on an incredible bass.

For build quality, playability, and overall value you won't better than Devon basses for the money. I've had may basses by several boutique builders in the $3000-6500 range and my Devon's are better in every area.

Thank you. Yes! Incredible build quality. As soon as I sell this, I’m having him build me another one with a different pickup combo.

    Did I miss the weight?
Concern is input jack, it appears it's at a odd angle. Can this easy take both 45 and straight male ends? Easy to pull them out in a quick instrument swap?

Weight is at 9 pounds. Very light. Yes, it takes both 45 degree and straight ends. If you use the 45 angle cable, then it instantly comes out. I usually take the strap off when pulling a straight end but you can pull really fast if you want to. Let me know. Killer bass.

    Hey Fred,
Yes, this is the same bass. This bass is the first ever Gen 5 bass, something I failed to mention. He used it to make the demo videos. Mine is the first and brand new.

Yes. A three-way switch. Center position is Series. Front or back positions are single coil front or rear coils.
