DFW get-together anyone??

Well, I had alot of fun at the Guitar Show this past weekend. I got to meet Pete and see his amazing line of beautiful basses. Mad props to you, Pete. I went home raving to my wife about 'em. Definitely the next bass I buy will be a Skjold. Probably gonna give up my Cirrus for it, but it will be worth it, IMO. Got to meet & see some of the local TB'ers. Freekbass and Pete, I really appreciate your hospitality and helpfulness. I saw, but didn't get to talk to Juneau, Biker4Him, Jorg and a couple others. I'm really looking forward to meeting more of you guys at the upcoming GTG in Nov.

I also got to play Jorg's cabs. One word, "WWWWWHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!" Those things are some bad mamma jammas!!! My next cab will defintely be a Schroeder 21012. :hyper: That sucker is off the hook.

So, my new current GAS list now consists of 2 items:
1) Skold 5'er-Swamp ash body, curly maple top, cocobola fretboard and the new Skjold electronics.
2) Schroeder 21012

Sorry this was so long, but I just had to give props where they were due.

I also had a great time at the show, Pete's new electronics are awesome! Amazing tonal capabilities. I played a $5000 Fodera at the show that didnt sound half as good! The basses I saw in the works were stunning completed, great job guys. And glad your electronics made it, even if at the last minute lol.

Brian Barret's booth was also very cool, lots of good stuff there I was drooling over. The Benevente's and Nordstrand I played were incredible feeling. (I didnt plug em in for fear of embarasing myself lol.)

And I just wanted to thank Jorg, only free T-Shirt I got was from you man, wearing it proudly today! (Actually Brian gave it to me, but it was your shirt hehe).

I had a blast at the show. It was good to meet Brian in person. Everytime I stopped at his booth he had some cat playing that LowEnd Jazz... that bass sounded amazing!!! Of course... I'm sure those Schroeder cab's didn't hurt!!!

Jorg was EVERYWHERE... It didn't matter what booth I was at... there was Jorg... I think he must have had clones of himself running around. One of the coolest guys I've met.

Pete's new stuff was of the hook!!!! Stunning to look at, and the new electronics are so versatile. I think Pete has hit a home run. And his booth was certainly the place to be. It was cool to see all the Dallas area GTG people again.

Pete and Jorg were both very nice guys. But the highlight for me was chatting with good ole' Trip Walmsley. Come on, who else saw him? It's nice when a monster like the Tripster looks at you like "I know I know you..but who are you?" :D

My brother in law also spotted John Mayer, and went and talked to him. Even for a guitar player he was a nice guy :)

And thanks to Pete for telling me about the upcoming GTG, none of you other guys told me. I bet it was a secret wasn't it? I bet Pete just ruined ya'lls secret to keep me away :spit:
Well I plan on being there this time, so HA! :D

Trip has to be one of the nicest, nuttiest guys I've ever met! We talked and jammed for about a half an hour. Rumor has it that he might be showing up at the Nov. GTG. :hyper:
