DI Boxes...

Hey guys I'm new here, however, I've been a regular at Ultimate-Guitar for a while. So I wasn't getting much feedback from them on this topic, so I thought maybe you would.

I'm playing with a couple of guys in my high school at our Variety Show, and my Acoustic B100 most likely will not cut it volume-wise, so I think a DI Box is to be bought.

I was originally looking at just basic cheap ones on MusiciansFriend, but then I was turned on to the Behringer BDI21. Now I know about Behringer's reliability issues but after reading some reviews, it didn't seem all that bad.

However, a few people said that the DI feature's signal is very weak. But I'll be running it in my effects loop, so will that have an influence on it? Because the input signal would be much stronger than just my bass.

So my question is really should I go for the BDI21 or go with a regular DI Box, such as this one --> http://pro-audio.musiciansfriend.com/product/Nady-DB1-Direct-Box?sku=185270

My budget is lower than $50. Don't suggest anything more expensive than that becuase I'm not even willing to pay $50. I also want to get a passive one (with the exception of the BDI21) unless active really makes a difference.

I dont know what you are trying to say. I read the post and it sounds like you cant get enough volume from your current amp so you want a di box. Explain whats going on more and we can help you out more.

Oh, sorry I wasn't being clear.

That's exaclty what I mean. My bass amp isn't going to be loud enough for the place I'm playing (my high school auditoruim is HUGE) and I want to use a DI to plug into the mixer so I can then go into the PA for volume. Also because of stage moniters.

I'm basically asking what DI I should get.
