DI from tube pre amp without speaker load

Okay, so the question has come up about running a DI from my amp without speakers connected. Our church will soon be going to in ears and possibly removing amps from the stage. My amp is an Eden WT-400 Traveler Plus which has a tube preamp section. Most of the comments I've read say NO unless it's a solid state amp. However the manual addresses running it without speakers connected when using headphones is ok. It does not mention running it with DI only. What say you? Also, what type amp is in the WT-400? Class D? Solid state?...

Your amp has a tube in the preamp section only, meaning the power section is solid state, regardless of what class it is. As far as I know, all solid state amplifiers are safe to operate without any speaker load connected. That goes for either headphone or DI connections.

Also, what type amp is in the WT-400? Class D? Solid state?

unless it's the size of a microwave oven, weighs a ton and has a whole bunch of big power tubes in the back that you can totally see then it's a solid state amp. "class D" or whatever is a kind of solid state amp

tube preamps don't count, that's just the preamp part. run the line out or preamp out to the PA, leave the speakers unplugged and don't worry about it
