Diagnosis needed - Orange Terror Bass

Hi, is anyone able to tell me what might be wrong with my amplifier, an Orange Terror Bass? Is it just in need of a new tube? It's new territory for me; I've never replaced an amp's tube before.

After warming up in standby mode and being switched on, the amp makes weird crackles and the signal sputters in and out. Eventually, after ~5 minutes, this issue seems to smooth out a bit.

I've tried to document the phenomena in detail with the video below.

As a user, about the only thing you can do is swap out the tubes, fiddle with the knobs, and insert a jumper in the effects loop.

If you don't know what you are doing, you could potentially cause further damage while swapping out the tubes.

If none of those actions fix the problem, the next step is to actually trouble shoot the amp. This requires test equipment, a schematic, and knowledge of how common electronic circuit work. The basic process is read the schematic and then probe the circuit to identify the likely source of the problem. The problem may have multiple causes and be very tricky to figure out.

Once the problem is identified, it will most likely involve removing and replacing faulty components, or possibly it could only require a touch up of a cracked solder joint. Either way, it requires additional equipment and skills.

Rather than poking around in the amp and potentially causing additional damage or getting shocked, take the amp to a good repair shop.

I am far from 'Repair Guy' but play one on TV.

It sounds like it may be the preamp tube easiest thing to try before sending in for warranty work [if bought new]
service pro if not.

Check if tube has become unseated even if it looks ok take out and reseat.

If that doesn't fix problem get new tube and give that a shot; even if it doesn't fix it always good to have spare tube about.
