Did i just wreck my pots?

It's the first time i tried to install new pickups, and when i was de-soldering the old ones, i felt the volume pot, and it was pretty hot. not hot enough to hurt, but it was pretty heated up.

So what i'm wondering is, is that bad for the pots?
