I have one of these on order and I was wondering if ampeg ever took the time to fix the standby issue where if the svt vr doesn't have 112 volts it won't come off of standby?

Did the svt vr standby issue ever get fixed?

I have an SVT-VR on order too, I didn't know there was any issue like that, i'm curious myself now.
It is an easy do-it-yourself fix, but I too am curious as to whether it has been fixed at manufacture.
So hey, I remember seeing that this mod wouldn't void the warranty in another thread about this issue. And this was posted by slick tu in the original thread discussing this issue:
"An addendum: A Loud Tech told me there is also a resistor change (this may have been mentioned on the thread) that service centers will do under warranty if you ask. If the tech at the service center isn't familiar with it, they can call Loud and get the info. on how to do it. Just a thought if you're going in for something else. The point being: Under warranty."

Doesn't sound like a critical mod with that resistor since I don't think John K did it and his is still running great,, but that thread discusses it in a lot more detail and gives you links to buy the stuff for it. Anyway, it looks like it won't void the warranty, and at the very least it's 100% reversible so they'd never know if you put it back to stock before taking it to a tech
(I never said that if anyone asks)
Also, bear in mind that we still don't know if they still add in that relay. Can anyone say for sure?
