Besides being reverse wound and slightly different sizes, do they generally the share the same specs? In other words, is one pup wound hotter than the other or something? I'm talking about the usual, stock, fender-type jazz pups.
On standard Jazz pickups they are pretty much the same except for the points you mentioned. The bridge pickup reads a little higher resistance because the turns of wire are longer, but they are wound the same, just in reverse.
On some more updated designs the bridge pickup might be wound a little hotter.
