How different are these, Ive played the SVT 6, and used to own the Iamp 600, and havnt played any mesa (comparable)?

Differende between Iamp800, Mesa, SVT 6?

The Mesa hybrid heads are all about big, warm tube-like tone. The Walkabout is all about 'old school tube warm' (think B15)., the MPulse600 is all about modern, clean tube tone (like the AG680), and the BB750 is all about classic SVT-type growl and grit and grind IMO.
About as far away from the iAmp800 (and I assume the SVT600...which I think is class D/Switching also) as you can possibly get.
Not better or worse, but WAY different compared to the uber clean iAmp.
Edit: Just noticed you were talking about the iAmp600... which to my ear was a little warmer and punchier than the current 800. However, my comments still are accurate IMO and IME comparing Mesa to the iAmp.

I think the svt6 has a tube power, not exactly sure what Class D is but from reading on the forum I get the Idea it is SS.
The SVT6 has a tube in the pre amp and SS power. I was thinking of the SVT8, which also has a tube in the pre but I believe has a lightweight switching power supply.
The Ampeg and Mesa will be much closer in tone to each other than the iAmp800... which is pure SS, and designed to be totally crisp, clean, wide, and precise, versus the more 'tube warm' tone goals of Ampeg and Mesa.
