Different strings, different mwah?

I'm thinking I want to change the strings on my MIM Fender fretless jazz.

It's currently strung with Elixir's which I love for their long life, and the sound on the fretless is fine....

BUT, I thought I'd check in with the collective wisdom here to see if anyone really loves the mwah that a certain make of strings brings to the party.

Any recommendations or comments?

Found myself searching for a little more 'mwah' on my Fender fretless and did improve it by trying Rotosound roundwound in a rather light scale than I am normally used to.
Tried this on a suggestion from someone around TB.

IMO, mwah has improved. Not sure I love the tiny gauge on there. I also 'flattened' the neck with a truss rod adjustment and lowered the action after installing the new strings.

Curious what others say...

Sunbeams get a lot of love as flexible, warm sounding roundwounds. They sounded the best balanced to me of any rounds I've tried; less sheen than Hi Beams, less grind than Rotosounds, but well-centered to my ears (and many others, as I say, they get lots of love here on TB).

My fretless boards never see a round wound string. GHS Brite Flats, or any other brand of ground wound strings are what I use, unless I can't find them, then I will use flat or tape wounds. More mwah from round wounds isn't worth sacrificing a finger board to me.

After I sanded the rosewood board on my MIM jazz I swore I'd stick with tapes and flats, but I couldn't stand the blandness anymore. Screw it, I put some old DR FatBeams on it that I had lying around. +1 on Sunbeams, or any of the round core DR strings - they bring out the character a fretless should have, whether you want to call it "Mwah" or whatever.

Thanks everyone! Going to try the sunbeams. They're ordered and on their way. It's a brand I've never used before. I guess you could say they're "Brand new" to me. Haha.

I didn't want to use flats, that's what I'm taking off of it, but thanks for those suggestions too.
