Digitech bass synth wah

Team that pedal up with some chorus and delay... not a lot of delay, and you will have fun for a long time.

This setup is mostly fun for just goofing off or when your band suddenly expects a bass solo out of you at a gig...

I bought mine mostly for the Wah envelopes, but I find myself loving the synth sounds just as much - the Auto Wah is still the main staple for what I use it for 95% of the time, but the looks on my bandmates faces & the audiences faces when some wicked synth sound is coming from the bass is priceless. :D

Hoyt, how do you set it for your "evil funky" sound?

I have it on setting #4 with all the knobs turned left (down), then I use my Dunlop 105Q, some overdrive (real slight/like a small cruchy gain-boost) and my chorus and delay. This setting with a "Rocco" type bass groove can be pretty wicked sounding. That setting on it's own just sounds like a wierd overdrive with an octave or something. Just experiment with it. I've found that it's cool minimally for song intros, standalone breakdowns, etc, but not much else IMHO...

I use it for synth.
I got a (what i think) close to Chris Woltsheinseintienrsn of Muse (Our Time Is Running Out, Album= Absolution) sound: (from left to right) 0, 0, 11o'clock, n°4. play light so you don't engage the filter you jut get the synth.

And I found recently a new way, for starting gigs:
Vol on bass=0 => Big Muff On (9:00, Min, 9:00) => Bass synth wah (10:00, 2:00, That's the sound, Mode 3, 4, 5,6) => delay (at your taste).
I just play with the 3rd and Mode button.

You get a nice delayed synth sound.

I really like that pedal, but I don't necessarily like the filter at the beginning of the sound I like the synth sound on its own.

I use the the setting : Bass synth wah (10:00, 2:00, 10:00, Mode 4) with the Ebow + hammering the string to trigger the filter.
