Digitech Bass Whammy problems

Hi Folks,

My DigiTech Bass Whammy will not power up. I have tried different power sources on and off my board. Sometimes it works sometimes it does not. When it does not power up I do not lose the signal to my other pedals. It's the second one that has done this too me and it is out of warranty. Any one have experience with this issue? I'm a dummy when it comes to repairing electronics. I can not solder either. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Wait, so the pedal is getting power, because the clean signal is going through, correct? It just doesn't do the Whammy thing? Because that honestly sounds like not enough amperage, and that pedal eats more than anything else I've ever owned (think 1700mA or something). It is pretty much the only thing I've absolutely needed a wall wart for.

EDIT: Digitech site says 265mA but the manual I have and the pedal itself is labeled 1300mA. Weird. Only basing my opinion on another power hungry pedal that does the same thing if I plug in the wrong cable.

If you’re dummy as a flat earther then it will be difficult to help you out…. otherwise first check that you’re powering the pedal with enough current. The Digitech Bass Whammy needs at least 265mA (according to the manual). If it the correct power, just open the pedal, connect the power and press the connection inside to check if it is just a bad soldering.
My Digitech Ricochet let the signal through if it was not powered.

Yup I tried powering with the factory power cord and a one spot. I will crack it open and test the connection.
