Digitech BP8 and me

I feel like such an idiot. This thing seems to be so counterintuitive to me. I can't figure out how to get around on it. I've been "just playing with it" to learn how to operate it, but I still don't really understand it. Call me stupid if you must, but please help me. Thanks.:hmm::help:

I do. It's great at saying what it can do. Not so much at how to do. Maybe part of my problem is i'm thinking about it as effects strung together, like foot pedals. I want to for example get the preamp right, then add some compression, and let's say a flanger from scratch. Can't figure it out.

It's got two modes, Bank and Patch, from memory. Hold down the two ^v buttons to switch between them.
Bank mode uses the ^v buttons to cycle through the banks and the numbered buttons to engage one of the four presets for the current bank.
In Patch Mode the ^v buttons cycle through patches (maybe only within the current bank) and the numbered buttons turn on/off the effect for that button.

Editing is a different story. I'm sure the manual is out there somewhere.

Hi stupid, sorry, the user interface can take a bit to grok as well as all the possibilities of this magnificent beast. The BP8 is a very early multi effect but Digitech got so much right out of the box it's hard to beat.

You enter the parameter grid by pressing the "Edit" key move around the grid by using the up down left right buttons and adjust parameters using the value up/down keys,

Be sure to check out the BP8 cheat sheets referenced in my sig below that I created and still use to get around the grid.
