Digitech - Where's the love?

The BP200 was my intro to effects, and was my only effect for several years. I loved all of its modulation and delay effects (and the whammy). I hated all of its amp models and distortions. Overall, I think its a good box to start with and get your feet wet in effects. And I love that you can assign a lot of different functions to the expression pedal. Definitely worth the money.

I have a BNX3. Great tool for songwriting, the limitation is I find it kinda complex to work with. I've made friends with it and learned how to adjust and store parameters for my effects and eq settings. The recorder is pretty easy to use. All the banks and modes of the thing can get pretty darn intimidating. The manual is also not that easy to follow either, at least for me. I worked with a guitar player who had one and knew his way around it pretty well, but he told me it took him a year to even start to understand it. I use mine live all the time because I've saved distortion and chorus sounds I like, but the key to using it for me is to know how to hit bypass mode if it's not sounding right. It's pretty fun to work with, just time consuming.

I've pretty much given up on digitech bass pedals but I picked up a "Bad monkey" distortion" for my guitar and love it - too bad it rather cuts out the bass freqs, since it sounds cool with a bass otherwise...

As far as other digitech gear, I've been using a digitech S200 rack unit for years and it is GREAT....

I have two PDS 1002s and one PDS 2020, all wired in parallel, each modded to as much lo-fi delay as I could stand, then mounted in a rack unit with a foot controller by Tim Kaiser of Duluth, MN.

I love my Digidelay. My bad monkey is pretty damn good on bass, too. I got thedigidelay for next to nothing from a GC display sale. I think I paid $25 bucks. The Bad Monkey was used for $25 shipped. Those two pedals are a steal.
