ash is not the nicest grain I can think of... I just liked the contrast between the maple center and ash caps.Nice grain.
IMHO the Dillion Ric is close enough to a real Ric to be considered a copy. Yet it's poorly executed... so it's nothing but a really bad copy.
I'd rock it, but then again, I love the looks of Rics much more than the sound of Rics.

Looks of course. It doesn't matter if the Dillion 'Ric' plays and sounds like a dream, it just doesn't look right... which should be a major concern if you want a copy of a bass as unique looking as a Ric.
