so ive been trollin along in the search and google, trying to troubleshoot some buzz issues;
ive recently put dimazios into 2 jazz builds; 1 ultra jazz set and one hot jazz (i think thats what theyre called)
the ultra jazz is wired vol vol tone; and the neck pot is a push/pull series parallel ala dimarzio incl. diagrams;
the other is vol vol and a varitone.
i have sheilded the cavity and behind the pickups with copper tape; each pot is grounded together with the pickups and the bridge;
this is what i have done so far in the way of trouble shooting;
i added another ground from each of the pot tops to the copper sheilding-no difference;
i removed the bridge ground from the pot-buzz went louder;
returned bridge wire to pot-back to 'normal'
tried in another amp upstairs-no diference
i grabbed a nice insulated copper wire and taped it to my bridge and started poking around with it, checking to see if my bridge wasnt grounded good enough?-no difference; the only thing that would change was having no sound from being completly grounded out when i touched certain parts of the pot-no good;
the only thing that stops the buzz is my hand; but to me; if the buzz can be grounded to my body there has to be a way to eliminate it as opose to the pickups just making that sound with no comprimise;
