All you have to do is swap the order of the pickups.

Which part should I swap? the DPDT switch on the Tone Pot?

For the neck pickup's volume pot to become the master volume for series wiring, do the following:

Neck pickup hot to volume pot.
Neck pickup ground to series/parallel switch.
Bridge pickup hot to series/parallel switch.
Bridge pickup ground to ground.

A bit of a related hijack. I just wired up a set of Area J pickups using a V/V/T (push pull tone for series). I used the attached diagram. When the tone is pushed in, both pickups are in series and are just controlled by the bridge volume. When I pull it out, the pick ups are independent.
I really would have preferred to pull the tone out for series and have it normal when pushed down.

Just switch the wires:

1 with 5
2 with 6
3 & 4 remain the same

Awesome... looks like I might need a new switch though. Unsoldiering is a bit of a pain on these little tabs

Actually, was able to swap it, just not as clean as I like it. Works but might get a new switch for a clean install.
