Dimarzio Model P Pickup height

I love my dimarzios model ps, just wondering what would be a good pickup height for more clarity in my G?

It depends on your strings, your action, your playing style, and what exactly you mean by "clarity". Best thing for you to do would be to experiment - lower it a bit, play, and assess - raise it a bit, play, and assess. Repeat as needed.

FWIW, i play pretty aggressive, and have what most would probably call a high action (adequate relief and string height to reduce string buzz through an amp. ive always put my model P's deep in the bass to stop the string from hitting the PU. the tone is pretty good as these pickups are HOT!

pickups closer to strings are typically more bassy, while farther they are typically more trebley.

you should also play around with the polepiece height, comparing how it sounds with the poles cranked up tall and the coil set lower vs. poles set flush and the coil set higher.
