DiMarzio Ultra Jazz pickups identification

Hello!
I bought used bass with pickups described as DiMarzio Ultra Jazz, replaced them and want to sale now, but im not sure are they really that model and brand. Can someone confirm them by this picture? Thanks and sorry for my bad english.:)

In recall Dimarzio only makes two J pups: ultra and model J and I've had them both. Wasn't too nuts and moved the ultra's down the road so don't have them anymore. Still have model J's.

They usually have an ID sticker on the bottom it seems but obviously easily removed. Model J's have four ceramic mags (pair on each side not singles down the middle). Color code and glue make the pups looks like DM's from the bottom. There are very pups with non-plated allen bi-poles. In all, probability is those are Ultras.

Someone else can verify the center ceramic mag layout. I can't remember.

Regardless, if you think but don't know then just state that to the buyer. Happens all the time with more obscure pups and is no big deal.

I tried putting a Dimarzio Bridge jazz pup on a P/J to replace the stock one (Squier Jag SS).

It said in the instructions to do what is shown in the OP's pup pic.

That is:- Splice the black and white wires together and tape off.
Then solder green wire to ground on jazz volume pot and solder red wire to center lug on the jazz volume pot.

Did that. Something went wrong somewhere. It plays, but very weirdly with huge volume drops when both pots are turned up and honky thin faint tone when jazz pup is soloed.

Any ideas? (Besides take it to somebody that knows what they're doing...:D)

Is the P pickup also a Dimarzio? If not, sometimes you have to reverse the hot and ground wires on one pickup when using pickups from different manufacturers.

finish reading the instructions? ;)

if it sounds bad when mixed with another pickup then it's out of polarity with it.

reverse the red and green wires and you're good.
