For the first time since 2000 I have a reason to bring out my skb pedalboard (the very first one circa 1998) and load it up for an incubus tribute leaning heavily on the science/make yourself era.
I don't have budget for new stuff, and I am now regretting selling my metal muff/top boost, and giving away my KMD distortion, since he uses a big muff. The kmd was a very fuzzy type with bass and treble controls. Since I had an HM2 I figured it was redundant so I gave it away. I digress.
Anyone know what that thin grit was on "favorite things"?

As you can see I heard the need for more than one dirt pedal. I have LM-2b and cs-3 but neither really did it for me, too squishy, so I used my LMB-3. I bought the EH-2 back after deciding one comp/lim was enough. I set it for light compression and the enhance knob is good for this style.
The EH-2 was the staple of my 1998 rig, adding that last bit of sparkle with adjustability.
The parametric is for matching passive basses to my active Warwick's (I was planning on using peavey foundation for the jazz bass tone songs). The graphic is for making up for the lows the SD-1 kills. I did this in a band in 2000 so I know it works.
The HM-2 and DS-1 have that fuzzy edge which should work well, the ds1 with tone all the way up might work for favorite things. A metal zone would probably work too, maybe I should look for a cheap one lol.
Note the NS-2 heart of the system, the bottom row left of ns2 to the aw-3/pq-3b are inside the loop of ns, with obviously the tuner comp and synth in front of the Ns input, the overdrive/eq/enhancer are after the loop. Real estate and available cables dictated that, as well as the idea I could simulate running the whole rig through a lightly driven amp (geddy tone).
Should be fun, if I can find vocals guitar and DJ that can pull it off. Drummer thinking about sampling the Dj parts if needed.
When I get this up and running, I intend to do fly gigs and mini tours rather than just stay local.
