Dirnt P-bass neck profile - is the Squier version the same as the Fender?

I am having to get rid of my MIM Mike Dirnt bass due it being 13 lbs. The most distressing part of this is losing the neck, which is a joy... fat but narrower than normal P. On the assumption the Squier version is much lighter, I might consider it but ONLY if the neck is identical.

Has anyone here tried both?

I owned both the Fender and Squier MDP and loved them both for different reasons.

The Fender was the best sounding bass I have ever owned but I think the weight was a definite factor in that beside the CS pickup. I replaced the high mass bridge with a vintage Fender style bridge because I dont like the way they affect the sound of a bass. I sold it due to the weight though because I am short and have a bad back and there were plenty of reasonable alternatives.

The neck on the Squier is thinner than the Fender and was my favorite 34" neck that I ever used. It was just perfectly comfortable to me and I could get around it with remarkable ease. The bass was very light but still sounded great and I never needed to replace anything on it. It comes with a regular Fender style bridge. It was my favorite 34" bass that I ever owned, but I use medium scales now.
