DIs in Aguilar amps

Justin, I have been using an Aguilar 750 live for a few years now, and always get good comments on the sound quality of the DI. It's a beast though, and I was thinking of switching to something lighter and smaller, but still in the Aguilar line.

I was wondering if you had any opinion on the DIs in their other amps. I usually go post-preamp to get that tone in there. Or maybe I would be okay putting a good DI in the effects loop of whatever I choose. Any thoughts?

I used the AG500 DI once, and didn't hear any comments bad or good from FOH, but I presume it was just fine. It may not be as lovely as the 750 DI, but I'm sure it's quite good.
