Discord - Free voice and text chat for gamers
Forums such as TalkBass are an excellent resource for new and experienced players alike, but sometimes it can be cumbersome to dig through archives for the answer to a quick question. Maybe you want to double check the theory behind a partially transcribed solo, or share a quick picture of your dog licking your strings as you try to practice, or just shoot the breeze in a setting that does not show all posts in Google search results. The Bass Discord server has multiple text and voice channels for all areas of bass (and some non-bass) discussion. It is not a forum replacement, but a supplemental chat method.
Members range from music school students studying jazz, to bedroom bassists trying to get a garage band together, to active "weekend warriors" that work a day job and let their hair down on weekend gigs, to complete beginners who are looking for advice on their local used bass selection. The server is open to anyone who plays or has an interest in bass!
