Another reminder, the core of strings is made of steel.
It doesn't appear to be too bright of an idea.
Tell me, then, what silverware is made of? I was always under the impression it was stainless steel. And whisks? And paring knives? And some pans? Or what about strainers? How does that stuff not rust? I always hought that the high temps and heated drying evaporates enough water. Unless someone can say otherwise, and besides the obvious coating and treatment. Our kitchenware is many year old and is still rust free. Even with heavy use...
