Display of threads after last forum visit

In the old vBulletin layout, when you opened a forums, all threads that hadn't received a new post since the last visit were shown "normally", and all the ones with new posts were bold.

In the new talkbass retro layout, when you come back from the last visit, all threads are bold, except the ones that you had visited last, and didn't have a new post since last time. But all other ones (including ones without a new post since last visit) are bold. I find it very confusing to keep an overview of new threads.

Is this a configurable setting? I couldn't find it.. thanks in advance :)

Noticed the same thing with the Tapatalk app on my iPhone. Threads remain marked "unread" between visits, whereas before only threads that had action since your last visit were marked as "unread", and all others were marked "read" even if you didn't open them. I personally preferred the old way, but not a huge deal. There's probably a "mark all as read" option somewhere that I haven't found yet...

+1
I made the same comment in another thread.

There's a 'mark all read' button in the upper left corner below the TalkBass logo. That will work, but there is no setting at the moment to have the site behave like the old site in terms of showing only new posted threads in bold each time you return to the site.

Related to that, is there any way to see the number of posts since last login? It used to be that you would get that number, and it affected how I navigated the forum. If it was 1,000 or less, I'd scroll through all the new posts, but if it was over 1,000 I'd not take the time and just check in on the individual forums I was interested in.
