I bought a used Ibanez Gio GSR 200 with P/J setup fro $100. Lightweight, sounded great when I tested it in the store. However, every time I use it for more than 10 minutes, it starts to sound like it has fuzztone is built in. I replaced the preamp battery, used it with different cords and amps -- same problem. It also buzzes like crazy (AC Interference) when the treble is maxed. I know I could replace the preamp, but that'd probably cost more than the bass, which I bought because it's very lightweight (7 lbs) and sounds good when it's working correctly. Should l I just consign it to the woodpile?
