In February 25, I will begin my diploma of sound engineering at university, but I'm already getting my feet wet and making an ass of myself at home

This is me starting work on recording bass and mixing/mastering a long time friend's music for him. The person who originally recorded this material just kind of slapped it together, hid everything behind reverb and called it a day, and I have about 35 tracks of this to fix up. Happy days!
This dude also recorded fairly sloppy bass parts which don't fit for the most part, and I am also learning to play tastefully and relevant to a style I'm not super familiar with. Teething issues ahoy. Anyhow, here's a taste of what I'm getting up to on bass. Critique it and tell me how much I'm funkin this whole thing up.
