Diving headfirst into my first mixing/mastering project (FOLK PUNK CONTENT)

Hey all.

In February 25, I will begin my diploma of sound engineering at university, but I'm already getting my feet wet and making an ass of myself at home 🤭.

This is me starting work on recording bass and mixing/mastering a long time friend's music for him. The person who originally recorded this material just kind of slapped it together, hid everything behind reverb and called it a day, and I have about 35 tracks of this to fix up. Happy days!

This dude also recorded fairly sloppy bass parts which don't fit for the most part, and I am also learning to play tastefully and relevant to a style I'm not super familiar with. Teething issues ahoy. Anyhow, here's a taste of what I'm getting up to on bass. Critique it and tell me how much I'm funkin this whole thing up. 🤘
