If I were to do a 410 cab with sonic comparisons to a fEARful, I'd build a vertical 410 with a 6" mid. It would take 3-4 (closer to 4) BP102's to equal one 3015LF in the low end and a single mid would handle the rest.

It could be a tall, narrow cab with tiltback wheels and perhaps a space for a micro head. Kind of a fEARful meets half an SVT.

Eminence is great. No doubt. They publish great specs and reference designs.

At the same time, I'll say that mcmelectronics.com has some no name house brand drivers that look to be a great value in the non-neo category. They have a deal going on this week that includes 20% off and free shipping.

Myself, it seems almost worth it to buy one of these, measure, measure potential house brand drivers:

then dig into WinISD, (Prototype, measure, tune, rebuild, measure)

hi all,. i feel quite inspired by some of the DIY projects on TB, the fearfull designs appear tried and tested etc, in the beginning i was gonna go for it and build a 4x10 cab, but as i read on i realised my sheer lack of knowledge and understanding required to build a decent cab. in short i aint got a clue, lol, still interests me tho and am still enjoying the read of so many different build projects. now i have questions tho...
1. whats so bad about building a 4x10 cab? i have found no self built 4x10s on TB, theres obviously a good reason for this
2. i read earlier in this thread something about the Ampeg fridge cabs divided internally to 4 compartments? would this approach not work for a 4x10? is a 6x10 normally divided into 3 compartments?
3. is there a thread on TB that explains the terminalogy...i.e SPL, xmax and other stuff (other parameters in winISD) that means nothing to me, ive looked about but there is so much on this forum that finding exactly what you want is sometimes alot harder than it would seem , an idiots guide would be good :D
