DIY blend question

Well, I don't know if it was any explanation ;) but it's my opinion anyway. An explanation would be that the two signals fed into a passive blender would be loaded down (their output impedance would no longer be optimal for the input impedance of the next device in line), probably resulting in a loss of highs and possibly also resulting in weaker signal levels or phase interference (from cancellation to doubling).

Alright, So I will be making the BBlender, Well, the link to the minimal blender atleast. For the record, I made a quick passive blender today, 3 jacks and a 500k pot. It wasn't that bad, had a lil bit of hum/feedback, but with the amount of tone suck it had, it could suck the chrome of a trailer hitch.
 
Sounds good flakeh, possibly post samples or report on how it went when you complete it. That was a pretty decent explaination Bongomania, hopefully i will learn something in th electronic engineering course that i will be doing this year :hyper:

When it is all said and done there will be a comprehensive post with in progress pictures and all that fun stuff. sound samples and cookies will be distributed.
 
Hey flakeh I found something that might help you. Check this out:

Its a blender with two effects loops instead of one. It could work well for your purposes though if you just delete the first half of the circuit and treat the returns as inputs. I think that would work nicely. I found this via a link on the BBlender page btw.

Edit: You will also have to slightly modify the second half of the circuit to give it power.
 
To revive an old thread:

I noticed that the pot is a 50k on both those blender drawings. I have a volume/ pan pedal that I'd like to try out with that design but it is 100k. Would the only difference be reduced output of the blend to the amp, or is there some other consequence of upping the resistance of the pot?:help:

I would probably make it in an external box and just patch cable it all together.
