i dont think it's been asked before, but will the neck attachment be the usual screws and plate or will it be a plateless, slimmer/contoured attachment with countersunk bolts like lull or sadowsky?

The vintage long stem tuners with that headstock are one of the reasons I like it. It reminds me of how the early 50's Fender headstock looked.

I just wish the headstock head just a little more width beneath the E tuner. I'm sure in time I'll stop caring.

I think a different string tree style and/or different placement (closer to the nut) would make the headstock 1000% more appealing. Just my opinion.

I might be with you on that. I like the headstock but the string tree would look better closer to the nut.

Here's a pic of a bass I built, in hindsight a double string hold-down would've been aesthetically more pleasing, but the placement suits my tastes.

Yep... move the string tree toward the nut and put a nicely designed DLB logo across the headstock, taking up a decent amount of space, and I think it'll be alright.

I agree, Im sure pictures don't do it justice. when I saw pictures of the headstock on Celinder Basses I thought they were ugly .In person they look great! I bet this is true with DLB basses.
