No, not about lighting technology, about the drug (dextromethorphan).

Have been sick this week with a case of the walking pneumonia and a nonstop, painful hacking cough. To keep me from going completely mental, I've been taking DayQuil during the day and NyQuil at night to help sleep. Well, the NyQuil is 2TBSP dose and so is the DayQuil. However, the DayQuil comes with one of those little 30ML plastic jello shooter cups.

When I took the DayQuil this morning, I mistakenly took two of those little plastic cups. Whooee! It usually takes a lot to make my head spin when it comes to OTC medications, but I was totally trippin' this morning. Total euphoria and disassociation for about 2 hours. At least I wasn't coughing. Party time, but I couldn't move from my chair. I will more careful from here on in. Don't need any more "Benilyn Days" ;-)

Got any mild OTC drug overdose stories to keep me entertained on a boring afternoon where I'm confined to quarters?

I've taken a number of hallucinogens and dxm was the only one that gave me a bad trip. If two doses did anything to you I suggest you don't play with it.

I’ve been fighting off some low-grade bug for almost a month. It seemed to go away, then returned. I started using Zicam on the 2nd round but I overdid it. It’s been a week since any Zicam and my sense of taste is still all screwed up.

The Quils are very good at what they do but can be easily abused.

I went to see a metal show in some rundown old grand theatre on Hastings.

OMFG. I could have walked the last half mile by only stepping on needles.

Ahahaha, we tried that too in 8th grade. Me and a couple buddies and a few bottles of Robitussin.
That was a stupid idea, and we paid for it. I don't think any of us caught a buzz, but we did barf plenty.
Around that same time, a bunch of us on the football team got into Smilax. We were told it would make us energetic and aggressive, like angry aggressive. We put a few drops under our tongue before games. That worked as I remember.
