do ampeg 610hlf and 810 have the same speakers?

by plugging the ports you are effectively ruining the tuning of the cab that you paid the extra price to have in the first place.

sounds like you should check into some sealed enclosures with the appropriate speakers.

my 610 had the same junky speakers throughout the cab, only the bottom 2 were ported.

the effective impedance was 6.3 ohms (i believe) at the input when i measured.
 
Each row of the top speakers is in it's separate box with a port going down until the bottom two where the port goes out the front.

That means that all the speakers are ported.

I opened up my cab so I know for sure.

I was suprised at how light these speakers were, kind of unnerving...
 
What do you mean all the speakers are ported? There's a separate port for each one?

Yes thats' right, every pair of speakers is in a chamber and there's a port hole for each speaker, all the ports push air out of the 3 ports in the front of the cab. like what heath says;
