Im looking at making one of these myself, although i want it to work in reverse- ie, 2 basses in, 1 out.

does anyone know if id need to change anything in those plans?

I'm actually interested in doing this myself. I have never actually done any serious circuit making except for labs that I've taken in college (in my 4th year for EE major). However, I question this somewhat. Won't everything with polarities such as the op-amps and caps interfere. A better explanation by someone would really help.

Im going to build my own!! im making mine "backwards" (2 in 1 out) so it'll be perfect for my purpose.... plus it'll be my first build... so should be interesting!!

You may not even need the Y portion of the program, unless you want to have it for future considerations.

An ABY is totally passive, and as long as you are only splitting an active signal (thanks nifty, bongo), you shouldn't have any problems. If you are using it to combine two input signals onto one output path there may be problems unless you are only using one input at a time. If you make a buffered ABY, then you can only go one way.

The only stuff I have fair knowledge about is signal path stuff, how and why electronics interact is a piece can be a little fuzzy on. Occasionally I BS even though I don't mean to. But on this I'm pretty sure I'm solid.

I was referring to adge and any problems he comes across when he builds his, but any help is appreciated I just need to get my head around what all the sections do when I have some free time then I'll try my hand at it...
