Do kids these days have hobbies?

My 7 and 10 year old grandaughters have a hobby called "Let's drive Grandpa crazy."




The joke's on them tho, I was crazy way before they were ever thought of.

As a teenager, I don't think that many kids have hobbies anymore. Unless phones count... I'm guilty of sometimes being on mine too much...

As for me, pretty much bass and listening to music. I don't really have time for other things.

There hobbies tend to be mostly phone related, congratulations silicon valley, I hope your happy.

For my son and daughter it's:
Fortnite
Mindcraft
Roblox
Overwatch
etc.


Like the OP I had electronic based hobbies. I am a licensed general operator and I have some Amateur equipment and even some CB equipment and photography equipment and most of it is now posted on CL. I can call a friend on my mobile phone and not have the utility expenses that accompany running tube radios and linear amplifiers. The best thing about those days for me was learning ohms law.

My son (soon to be 17) hosts D&D meetings in our house every week or so. 5-6 kids come over and play from 4-8 in the dining room and there is never a quiet moment. Before that, he did 9 years of martial arts.
