I prefer rosewood because of the feel and visually. Even though I believe there is only a slightly noticeable difference between the two, I will normally have a warmer, flatwound strung bass with rosewood and a brighter, roundwound strung bass with maple; Which to me is because of OCD :P

Do you dislike maple fingerboards? I do not. With a flexible preamp and a treble roll off, it's easy to manipulate the tone of the maple fingerboard.

I prefer maple boards and up until recently almost all of my basses had them. For me I just prefer the look. Plus they're easier to see on a dark stage. I have also come to realize that it may be a subconscious thing since my earliest influences played basses with maple fretboards.

My opinion on the board wood is more based on feel, I don't really have a preference soundwise, so that's not an issue.
I'm not big on maple boards on a guitar based on how it feels and how it affects things like bending, but over the years this is less of a factor.
With bass having thicker strings the feel is different, so I don't feel the board-so I'm fine with maple or not maple.
I have two basses--on has a maple board & one has rosewood.

I prefer maple, no idea why.

Hahaha, same here actually, maybe its the look, I dunno... I'm not gonna go claim that they sound different than rosewood or ebony cuz I really don't know, but the two MIJ fender pbasses I owned both had the maple finger boards and I loved em', maybe its cuz I'm a Steve Harris fan!!?? But I also really like ebony, but that's definitely for looks:)
