Do you gig with only a 112?

a. What amp?
Eden Nemesis NA650 with Avatar SB112 Delta LF, 4 ohm

B. what type of music?
Primarily Urban Gospel, jazz, rock, p&w

c. Size of your band?
5 piece (2 electrics, drums, keys, bass) and sometimes with a choir. Have absolutely no trouble being heard and only running at about half volume.

d. Do you D.I.?
Typically the one coming out of the back of my NA650.

i find the tone to be awesome and plenty loud for stage vol. whitch is all you should use your amp for. lately we have been doing all in ear shows so i don't even really turn it up but have it on stage incase something goes wrong

A single 1x12 is my usual rig, but I have two 1x12 cabs for those rare instances in which I used to use a 4x10. This hasn't happened since I got the second cab a few months ago.

a. G-K 700RB-II and G-K Neo112 cab.

b. Original rock. Last band was progressive, vaguely like Radiohead. Current band is old-school classic rock mixed with a few power/pop tracks analogous to early Who. It's all electric.

c. Last band was drums, two electric guitars, keys, and bass. Current band is drums, two electric guitars, and bass. Both featured lots of backing vox.

d. Whether I use the D.I. depends on the venue. I've played several small clubs that don't D.I. the bass, and the G-K rig has been fine. IMO, it's amazingly strong for a 1x12 rig.

a.Epifani UL112 Combo(tilted back about waist-high on a stand)
b.You name it. Everything from Tower of Power to System of a Down to Harry Connick Jr. to Public Enemy.
c.12 pieces including 3 horns, four vocalists, two drummers with loud sample triggers, and a keyboardist and guitarist who wear earplugs because they play so loud.
d.Always DI, massive FOH PA.

Nobody in the crowd hears my amp anyway, it's just for on stage monitoring.

B. Only time I'll use the 12 by itself is for small acoustic-y shows with my rock bands.
c. Always 5 members, when I use the 12" by itself it usually includes a 12-string acoustic, 6 string acoustic, percussion, lead vocals, and me.
d. For any show that would require bass to go through the DI I'd bring my other cab to stack on the 12", though I guess in theory, I suppose it would be possible that I show up for one of these small gigs with only my 12" and the sound man would like me in the PA too... I wouldn't have a problem with it.

Edit: BTW, shameless plug. If you wanna hear how this sounds with my band, tune into hearnewbrunswick.com 11/12 at 9pm. I will be using exactly the setup described above with the GK MB2-500 and Avatar B112 (the old cube version).

Yes

Eden WT400 into a Bergie HT112, if the gig needs
more I bring along an Epi T112 to get the full 400 watts
and a four ohm load

Usually the Bergie cuts it indoors.
I play in a Latin/Jazz/Rock band with a conga player
and drummer, guitar, and vocals/keys

Amp: Currently, GB Shuttle 6.0 or Neo-Pak 3.5; previously Hartke Kick-back 12

Cab: Currently, Berg HT112 or EX112

Music: musical theater, regional professional, college, school, community

Band: orchestra for whatever the show needs, piano trio to 20 musicians or more., most often 6-12 players.

D.I. to FOH: maybe 25% of the time in the bigger houses

I used a single NYC T-112 with an Eden WT-400 and found that it just wasn't enough. I play in a 4 piece band and I think our stage volume is controlled. I do most of the lead vocals and when the stage volume gets too loud I'm the first to make the request to bring it down.
I loved carrying a single 12 and really wanted it to work for me.I usually ended up wishing I had brought both of my single twelve cabs to the gig. In the end I bought a UL212 at 59 lbs. It has been the "answer" for me.
We do a wide variety of music, classic rock,blues,dance and a little country. We always use a FOH system and all instruments are run through it.

Mesa Boogie Walkabout Scout 12" combo with an EBMM Sterling. (used my Jazz bass during the blues years)

b. what type of music?
Band #1 Original rock music. Band #2 classic rock covers AC/DC, Nazareth, Black Crowes, Queen etc. I also played in a blues band for 5 years on some pretty big stages.

c. Size of your band?
4 piece and 4 piece (2 guitars, bass and drums). May be adding keys soon. Blues band- 5 piece: guitar, bass, drums, sax, keys and harmonica.

d. Do you D.I.?
Sure do. The DI on the Boogie is great. I only use my SABDDI when I use the rehearsal studio beaters (usually Ampeg or Hartke solid states).
