unce, oontz, boots 'n cats, boots 'n pants... I love all the names for this thing and we all know what each other's talking about.

I feel like the music (mentioned by OP) would be more like "boots 'n, boots 'n, boots 'n, boots 'n" than the "boots 'n cats, boots 'n cats".
(Basically, a constant "Bass hit" on every beat, rather than every other like "Bass n Snare, Bass n Snare" etc.) 🤔

YMMV

Agreed, which I why I prefer "boots 'n' pants" to "boots 'n' boots" or "unce, unce."

This is such a silly and fun conversation!:wacky:

Ah, a prime example of "Eurodance". This is the stuff that was largely responsible for introducing the masses to house in the early '90s. 🥴
Ooooooh, I remember. I remember everything. EVERYTHING!!! I was so glad glam got wiped off of the earth by Grunge. Spent some time in the US when Nevermind exploded and I was all in. Then, coming back to Europe, there was nothing but the dentist from Holland aka Dr Alban on the air. Total disappointment, because I came home with the illusion that finally there was hope for European radio stations. Nope. Wanted to eat my flanel shirts. Made me angry in a Henry Rollins kind of way. 3 years later I find myself in the midst of the electronic Time Warp Club scene of my area (no 70s connection here, none!). No chemicals for me, but man I had and have to admit the events were intense. Still play in a Grunge tribute band today though🤟🏻
