Relative to the Ibanez, the B is much tighter, I have played other basses where the B is a much more controlled string than on the Brice, but those basses are also much more money. For its specific category/class range, it's pretty darn good. I use LaBella flats, which are pretty rigid strings, and the B is very clean for most things, especially if you're just looking to drop the sub-sonic bomb every now and then
You're not going to get away with a lot of 1/32 notes on the Brice B string, though, the response is not there. It's the one thing I dislike about the Brice, and it is now especially noticable since I got the FBB, but that's a huge difference in $$$ .....
