I know it's gauche to correct crazy math...but you actually have four decades worth if you are counting the in-betweens.

I like your style. Furthermore, 1993 is a prime number, so you add the amount of factors of 1993 to the decades that my bass covers....boom. 6 decades.

I *have* owned at least one bass from every decade except the '50s. I currently have the '60s, '70s, 2000s and 2010s represented.

missing 50's, 80's and 2010's (would never want a 2010's though).

56 Ps have an outstanding neck profile.
Similar tastes. I have a 08 Bird and a 98 4003 as well as the Fenders posted.

Do you have a favorite, or is each one they fit for function?

Yes, they all have their strengths.
In all honesty, the 73 P consistently gets most gig time and has for years. It's relatively light, I love B width necks and it just sounds right every time.
But I gig most of them from time to time.
The 56 is very light, has the really comfortable soft V neck and the single coil is very articulate.
The 82 Fulleron 57 is quite different again- featherweight, soft V but a wide flat board- pickup is toppier than the 73. There would be no problem using this one as a workhorse as well.
The Humbucker Tele is a force of nature and teamed with a powerful rig is glorious- it also has a beautiful B width neck.
Our drummer's favourite is the 69 Tele- he love's how it works with his kick.
The P Plus is a very versatile PJ.
My recent Fenders are all well built- the Sting and the FSR Jazz are outstanding.
